Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
West Bengali SC/ST/BC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates receive upper-age relaxation. Physically disabled candidates will also have a relaxed age limit. The WBCS 2022 notice did not relax the ex-serviceman category. Per the table, the upper age limit will be relaxed.

Process to fill WBCS Application Form 2024
WBCS 2024 applications are available on the WBPSC website. Candidates who meet EWS eligibility requirements, have applied for the exam, and have a valid “Annexure C” can update their information on the Commission’s website. EWS candidates must print and save their revised information. WBCS 2024 applicants can:

- Click “One Time Registration” on the WBPSC website to register.
- Fill out your registration ID and password. WBPSC will email or text you.
- Log in using your registration ID and password.
- Please provide the necessary data.
- After paying the application cost, submit, print, and save the form.

WBCS 2024 Selection Process
The WBPSC administers the WBCS exam to choose officers for various positions. Three steps comprise the WBCS Selection Process: preliminary, main, and interview. Candidates must pass each level to advance to the final round.
The preliminary round is qualifying only, hence its marks will not count toward the final merit list. Only one Prelims GS paper exists.
One optional subject paper, two 200-mark tests, and six papers comprise the WBCS 2024 Mains exam. WBPCS lists optional topics on its website. Candidates may choose any optional topic according to their interests and preferences.
WBCS 2024 Personality Test results will be added to WBCS Mains exam outcomes to establish a merit list. Based on merit, competent applicants will be recommended for hiring.
